Mr. Hüseyin (ikibir) Toprakcı
Founder
1939-2019
Born in Kaimakli village of Nicosia in 1939. In his early parts of his career he managed the leading brick factory of Cyprus based in Nicosia. In 1975 he founded the company Taş-Man for extraction of Gerolakkos stones from quarries based in Alayköy. He then founded our company in 2004, for processing of these stones as well as exported marbles. Throughout his life he was involved in numerous successful projects in the industry and unfortunately passed away in 2019.
Mr. Barış Mustafa Toprakcı
Director
Born in 1975 in Nicosia. Barış studies sports science in Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey then worked as teacher for professional athletes at University level. During this period he was the president of Handball federation of North Cyprus. After 2004, he started taking an active role in the family business Taş-man. He was involved in the founding of Cyprus Stone Development in 2004
and Halil Efendi'nin Bahçesi in 2009, a garden center based in Küçük Kaymakli, Nicosia. He is the primary director of Cyprus Stone Development at the moment.
Ms. Emete Toprakcı
Director / Operation and production manager
Born in 1972 in Nicosia. After finishing her high school education, she undertook accounting and finance education and joined our family business. Since 2004, Emete is the secondary director and general secretary of Cyprus Stone Development and director of Taş-man.
Ms. Emine Akın İlke
Marketing manager
Born in 1993 in Nicosia. She spent her childhool in early stages of Cyprus Stone Development. Emine studied business management in University of Durham, then obtained a masters degree in International marketing in University of Strathclyde in 2016. In addition to working as the brand manager in Cyprus Stone Development since 2020, she is also working towards her PhD in Glasgow Caledonian University remotely.
Dr. Metin İlke
Operations manager
Born in 1993 in Nicosia. Obtained his PhD in Electric and Electronic engineering in Glasgow, UK in 2022. He spend a number of years working in Rolls Royce plc. and European Union research projects. He is part time operations manager of Cyprus Stone Development.
